Quriousbit KYC rejected? The 4-minute fix for the top 3 rejection reasons.
Name mismatch (42% of rejections) is fixed by adding your father's name exactly as on PAN. Photo blur is fixed by tap-to-focus before capture. The full guide is below.
Why your KYC was rejected
The top three KYC rejection reasons on Quriousbit account for 89% of all rejections. Reason 1: name mismatch between PAN and Aadhaar (42% of rejections). Reason 2: photo blur on the document capture (28% of rejections). Reason 3: selfie without the ID visible (19% of rejections). The remaining 11% are split across expired documents, duplicate PAN, and upload failures.
Each of the three has a 4-minute fix that you can apply from the KYC screen in the app. The fixes do not require a new account or a new mobile number — you re-submit on the same KYC screen, with the corrected documents, and the auto-review picks it up within 2 hours.
Fix 1: Name mismatch (4 minutes)
Name mismatch happens when the name on your PAN card does not match the name on your Aadhaar card exactly. Common variations: middle name initial vs full middle name, father's name included vs not included, spelling difference in one letter. The fix is to update one document to match the other.
The fastest path is to update your PAN to match your Aadhaar, because PAN updates take 7-10 days via the UTI or NSDL portal. If you need it done in 24 hours, update your Aadhaar instead via the UIDAI portal (some updates are near-instant). Once both documents show the same name, re-submit KYC and the auto-review will approve within 2 hours.
Fix 2: Photo blur (4 minutes)
Photo blur happens when the camera cannot focus on the document because of low light, glare, or motion. The fix is to retake the photo in good lighting, on a flat surface, with the camera held steady. Three tips: (1) tap the screen to focus on the document, then wait 1 second before capturing, (2) avoid overhead lights and
After retake, re-submit and the auto-review approves within 2 hours. If the photo is still rejected, it is usually a glare issue — try a different angle or a d
Fix 3: Selfie without ID (4 minutes)
The selfie-with-ID step is where 19% of submissions get rejected. The most common error: the ID is held too low in the frame, so the OCR cannot read the document number. The fix is to hold the ID at chin height, with the photo side facing the camera, and your face and the ID both clearly visible in the frame.
If the selfie is still rejected, check that the ID is not expired. PAN does not expire, but Aadhaar is renewed every 10 years. If your Aadhaar's 'Date of Issue' is over 10 years ago, renew it via the UIDAI portal before re-submitting KYC.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the KYC re-review take?
Re-review after a rejection fix takes 2 hours median, vs 1 hour 47 minutes for a first-time submission. The 13-minute difference is because the re-review checks that the fix matches the original rejection reason. If the fix is not the right one, the KYC is rejected again with a different reason.
Can I submit KYC documents via email?
No. KYC documents must be submitted via the in-app KYC screen, not via email or WhatsApp. Email submissions are not processed for security reasons. The in-app screen uses device camera + secure upload, which is the only path Quriousbit accepts.
What if I don't have an Aadhaar card?
You can use a Passport or Voter ID as the address proof instead. The PAN card is still mandatory for tax reporting. If you have neither Aadhaar nor Passport nor Voter ID, you will not be able to complete KYC and will not be able to make paid withdrawals.
Will my KYC be re-reviewed automatically?
Yes. After you re-submit with the fix, the auto-review picks it up within 2 hours. You do not need to email support to ask for a re-review. The in-app KYC screen will update to 'Approved' or 'Rejected' with the new reason automatically.
