Second-innings swap: the rescue move
Every Quriousbit contest allows 1 free swap in the second innings of a T20 match. The swap reflects in your team's points within 5 seconds and is the single most powerful in-match adjustment available.
When to use it: when your captain is out cheaply in the first innings and a non-captain is scoring heavily. When to skip it: when your captain has 30+ points already and a fresh swap would mean dropping a 50-point batter for an unproven bowler. The decision window is between innings 1 and the 6th over of innings 2 — beyond that the points swing is too small to matter.

We recommend using the practice contest for the first 5 matches of every season, then graduating to head-to-head, then mega contests. The skill ceiling is the same across all three — the difference is the variance and the entry fee.
How latency affects your fantasy decisions
The Quriousbit live feed has a 6-second end-to-end latency from the official BCCI data feed. This means a boundary at 7:42:30pm appears on your screen at 7:42:36pm. For most decisions (captain selection, contest entry, second-innings swap), 6 seconds is fast enough. For the 1-tap second-innings swap, the decision window is between the end of innings 1 and the 6th over of innings 2 — a 6-8 minute window — so latency is not a constraint.
The 6-second latency is shorter than the JioHotstar streaming delay (typically 30-45 seconds) but longer than the on-stadium big screen (0 seconds). For users at the stadium, the Quriousbit screen will always be 6 seconds behind the action on the field. For users watching on TV, the Quriousbit screen will be ahead of the broadcast by 24-39 seconds.

gy 2: use the live screen during the powerplay (first 6 overs) to check your projected rank — if you are below 50%, consider the second-innings swap. Strategy 3: enter multiple contests on the same match (we allow up to 50 entries per user per contest) to spread variance.
The most common mistake new live-screen users make is watching the screen too closely. Fantasy points update ball-by-ball, but the points swing from a single ball is small (typically 4-16 points for a batter, 25 for a wicket). A 30-second glance every over is enough to track your team's progress; staring at the screen ball-by-ball adds stress without improving decisions.

Can I see other players' teams?
In head-to-head contests, no. In mega contests, you can see the top 100 teams' captain picks from the leaderboard screen, but not the full XI. In practice contests, all teams are visible after the match starts.
What if my internet drops mid-match?
The live screen buffers the last 30 balls, so a 60-second drop does not lose data. For longer drops, the app re-syncs on reconnect using the official BCCI timestamp. The team you saved before the match is always recoverable from the My Contests tab.
